Signe Ruddy

In 2014 I was laying in between a row of lavender after weeding for several hours just looking up at the sky.....this poem came:

Knowing

I bend to cut

 pulling stocks together

Over and over

Scissors in hand I cut

I cut the purple lavender:  Munster, English, Augustfolia, Grosso

Then I stop and I see

I see blue sky

I see bees

I hear the bees, the wind in the trees

I sit down on the ground

and I smell the earth;

I smell the lavender.

I lay on the ground.

I see blue sky;

I see me.

I am a soft green character of  a woman with a big open heart no need for the proof I just am.  Having experienced roles as a food service manager, lavender farmer, mental Health worker and relishing Learning, thinking, growing, all  sensory experiences finding myself most tuned in to colors.

I grow from each opportunity reading color's.

Color is and has always  been with me.

It is a wonderful knowing for me that my quiet soul has through seeing your colors.  I love Sharing your colors with you we can find their expression for the purposes to enhance your life path with pleasant growth.

Self discovery, an awakening or what ever one may chose to call it.  It, life hit me right between the eyes. Yes, I had been living life with interest and curiosity but poetry changed my story, art changed my story and then all the color's started flowing and blending and this poem came:

Everywhere

Bold gold

Thirsty thistle blues

Pink orange lustrare glow as end of day comes.

Magnificence of the soul knows.

Earth's given promiscuous

Gift.

Color.
